Intensive Treatment Foster Care is one of the foster
care programs we operate.
Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC) specializes in children
that are harder to place in traditional fosterage because of heightened
emotional and/or physical needs.
The staff at ITFC utilize comprehensive reports and case management
to provide 24 hours a week of extra support counselor involvement,
individualized treatment plans, pre-certification training and weekly
therapy. The staff also proactively collaborates with county placement
workers to develop and work with specially trained foster families.
ITFC is unique in that it offers a virtually one-to-one relationship
between staff, child and families for multiple hours a day. Weekly
check ins and on-going emotional support add to the high degree
of support that has proven to be a successful model for FAA agencies.
